De Algemene Ledenvergadering (ALV) zal plaatsvinden op 1 juni tussen 11:00 en 12:30 uur tijdens het Politicologenetmaal aan de KU Leuven. Het Politicologenetmaal is een geweldige gelegenheid om samen te komen en belangrijke zaken te bespreken.
De specifieke zaal voor de ALV wordt binnenkort bekendgemaakt (TBA). Houd onze website en andere communicatiekanalen in de gaten voor updates over de zaallocatie.
De agenda is beschikbaar als download op onze website. De stukken voor de ALV zullen binnenkort beschikbaar zijn. We streven ernaar om deze zo spoedig mogelijk met jullie te delen.

The Philosophy, Politics and Economics programme at the VU Amsterdam is looking for philosophers, economists and political scientists to teach and supervise theses. You will be given four students who will follow a short thesis tutorial course from you on a topic that is relevant to PPE and close to your teaching and research interests. In this course, students will write a literature review and a thesis proposal, both of which you will assess. Subsequently, you will supervise these four students as they write their thesis. This will take place in the context of both individual and group meetings. You will assess the theses from your group of four students, and you will function as second reader for four other theses.
The overall workload is 105 hours per seminar group (which is roughly the equivalent of a 4,5 EC course) spread out over periods 5 and 6, which runs from April 3rd through July 15th.
Minimum requirements are a PhD in philosophy, politics or economics. Het Politicologenetmaal 2023 wordt georganiseerd door de afdeling Politicologie van de Faculteit Sociale Wetenschappen van de KU Leuven, België. Zoals gebruikelijk zal het Etmaal starten op donderdag rond 12 uur en eindigen op vrijdag na de lunch. Tijdens de plenaire bijeenkomst op donderdagavond zal een paneldebat en de uitreiking van de Els Witte Jaarprijs Politicologie voor het beste proefschrift en de Daniël Heinsiusprijs voor de beste masterscriptie georganiseerd worden, alvorens samen gezellig een hapje en drankje te nuttigen. De jury heeft de winnaar voor de Els Witte Jaarprijs Politicologie voor het beste proefschrift bekend gemaakt. De winnaar is geselecteerd uit 9 genomineerde proefschriften die in het afgelopen jaar zijn verschenen.
De jury heeft besloten de prijs toe te kennen aan Lala Muradova (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) voor haar proefschrift “Reasoning across the divide: Interpersonal deliberation, emotions and reflective political thinking. ” Van harte gefeliciteerd!
The team at the IEE-ULB in Brussels is calling for applications for 16 individual CfAs for GEM-DIAMOND the new MSCA-DN in European Studies coordinated by the ULB – see www.gem-diamond.eu
16 MSCA PhD fellowships are presently available in EU studies, international relations, international political economy, comparative politics as well as international and EU law.
These 16 fellowships across different disciplines will all work towards assessing the EU’s capacity to act given the challenges facing Democratic Institutions, the rise of Alternative MOdels and mounting Normative Dissensus (DIAMOND). All 16 of these individual research project will enjoy: (i) a three-year MSCA fellowship (48k/year), (ii) a double doctoral degree, (iii) jount training and publications opportunities, and (iv) sponsored mobility involving at least two countries.

As of this summer, Acta Politica has a vacancy for the post of Book Review Editor. The incoming person will work together with the other Book Review Editor, Tim Mickler (Leiden University). The editors are supported by an editorial secretary from the Université libre de Bruxelles (Clémence Deswert). The successful candidate is expected to start as Co-Editor as of 20 June 2022.
It is
expected that the Book Review Editor:
• Actively scouts for books that
fit the journal’s profile and find suitable reviewers
• Decides on proposals for book
reviews
• Edits manuscripts and makes
decisions regarding publication of these manuscripts
