In this lecture, Nathalie Tocci will address the role of the EU in global politics. Specifically, she will talk about the EU’s journey towards a comprehensive foreign and security strategy, the so-called EU Global Strategy of which she is the lead pen-holder.
Nathalie Tocci is Special Advisor to the EU High Representative Frederica Mogherini and in charge of the coordination of work on the EU Global Strategy. She is also Deputy Director of the Istituto Affari Internazionali, Rome, and Editor of The International Spectator. Her major publications include Turkey and the European Union, Palgrave Macmillan, 2015 (co-author); and Multilateralism in the 21st century, London and New York, Routledge, 2013 (co-editor).
