Acta Politica
The official journal of the Netherlands Association of Political Science (NKWP)
Acta Politica is the international, English-language journal of the Netherlands Association of Political Science (NKWP) and is published by Palgrave Macmillan. Established in 1965, the journal is one of the few political science journals with a genuinely broad scope across the discipline. In 2020, it achieved an impact factor of 2.404 (Journal Citation Reports, Clarivate).
The journal publishes theoretical and empirical contributions, comparative studies, country analyses, and methodological notes. The editorial team particularly welcomes submissions that are relevant to a broad political science audience and that advance the discipline through innovative insights or approaches.
Acta Politica operates a double-blind peer review process and prioritizes manuscripts with a strong theoretical foundation and a clear empirical application.
