Political Science in Motion
The NKWP organises and supports a wide range of events for political scientists in the Netherlands and Flanders. From large-scale conferences to smaller workshops and networking meetings, we bring people together to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and strengthen the discipline.
Politicologenetmaal
The Politicologenetmaal is the annual conference for political scientists from the Netherlands and Flanders. This two-day gathering, traditionally lasting 24 hours, offers (early-career) scholars the opportunity to present their research, learn about new research projects, and connect with colleagues in the field. It is the place to exchange ideas, initiate collaborations, and lay the groundwork for future publications and projects.
Practitioner political scientists, those working outside academia, are equally welcome. The conference offers them the opportunity to stay informed about recent academic developments while sharing their professional experiences with researchers. Moments like these are where theory and practice truly reinforce one another.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Politicologenetmaal in Ghent on 11–12 June 2026.
